Vision Statement

Wheels On Fire For Christ Ministry has developed a strong vision statement over the past several years that has many goals.

WOFFCM feels that these goals will be accomplished according to God’s purpose. This vision is very near and dear to WOFFCM. The first goal is a one-on-one mentoring program for youth and individuals with disabilities. We feel this is a necessary need for the community and for the population in general to have a Christian based mentoring program for these two groups. The mentoring program would be strong Christian people with Christian solutions mentoring their peers (youth mentoring with youth and disabled individuals mentoring with other disabled people). One-on-one mentoring is something that WOFFCM feels is lacking in today’s society and we hope to make this available to everyone. One way to achieve this goal for those people who are not comfortable with one-on-one contact is a 24/7/365 1-800 hotline in which youth and disabled individuals could call anonymously and have a strong Christian mentor to provide counsel whenever it was needed.

WOFFCM would also like to provide a non-perishable food bank ministry and cafeteria for individuals who cannot provide a good source of nutrition for themselves or their families. While in the cafeteria receiving a meal and/or receiving non-perishable items, they would be have the opportunity to hear the Word of God in a very loving and supportive way. In canned food baskets

WOFFCM would provide a free Bibles and information on local churches in the area. WOFFCM’s goal is to not only to feed them physically, but spiritually as well.

WOFFCM has very, very strong feelings about spreading the Word of God and sharing testimonies from people with a variety of backgrounds and situations in life. This ministry is called “Ignite the Flame.”

WOFFCM believes that there are several strong Christians—young or old, disabled or not—that have testimonies of how their faith in Christ has brought them through very difficult situations. Their faith in Christ is the key to overcoming their situations.

WOFFCM would like to bring these types of people together to share their testimonies and stories in hopes that it would strengthen even.’ individual’s faith in Christ. Though they may have hurdles to overcome and bad days, Christ is still their Rock. This would be a core group of spiritually strong individuals who would travel from state to state spreading God’s Word. This would be an upbeat, three-day convention in which there would be praise and worship, testimonies, and workshops in the crusade to reach the youth and other young adults. The Ignite the Flame Power Team would share their testimonies and conduct Bible studies and workshops. The workshops would follow the Bible studies and the attendees would have a choice in which workshop they would want to attend. Some of the different workshops offered would be (1) Over-coming Peer Pressure through Christ; (2) Accepting Your Disability through Christ; (3) How to Be An Igniter In Your Community (How to start your own Christian youth center in your community); (4) Keeping the Flame of Christ Burning Inside of You; (5) Being A Disabled Leader In Your Community;(6) Being A Youth Leader In Your Community; (7) Being A Strong Christian Leader In Your Community. The sole purpose of these crusades is for individuals to come to know the awesome salvation of Jesus Christ, and to strengthen the faith in those who already are Christians.

WOFFCM’s hope is that they would see Christ through this outreach and would allow Him to reignite the fire to serve and to be bold for Christ.

WOFFCM feels the need to provide a street ministry in the inner cities. Christ went to the people most of the time; therefore, WOFFCM feels that our ministry should go to the people and spend time building relationships, sharing love as Christ did, listening to the people, and sharing the Word of God and hope to the inner cities by reaching out to the inner cities and streets in various ways.Individuals serving in this part of the ministry need to be strong and bold in their faith and uncompromising in their faith!

WOFFCM wants to provide an overseas medical ministry that consists of clinics for third world countries with regards to their medical needs. WOFFCM would have volunteer Christian nurses, doctors and therapists on a two-week rotation that would provide the utmost care and Christian professionalism. This facet would not only provide medical care, but also medical equipment for the disabled individuals free of charge. This would be accomplished by refurbishing old equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, dialysis equipment, and other types of medical necessities.

WOFFCM would also have a summer camp for disabled youth and abused youth. This camp would be fully accessible in every area. It would provide cabins with air conditioning, a cafeteria, a fully accessible Olympic size pool, a fully accessible lake with pontoon boats where wheelchair users could ride on the boats. Fishing would also be available with adaptable fishing equipment. Sit skis would be available for the disabled to learn to ski behind a boat that would be pulling them with two-person jet skis trailing them for safety. Horseback riding would be available with regular or adapted saddles to sit in with appropriate lessons being taught. An indoor basketball court would be built to accommodate wheelchair basketball.

WOFFCM’s FIREhouse 51 (Freedom In Redemption Eternal) will consist of online Bible studies through email and a message board, as well as face-to-face Bible studies. In addition, the ministry will seek to do workshops and speaking engagements for women’s conferences and events. In time this division of WOFFCM will house a women’s shelter and crisis center. This center will provide Christian counseling, prenatal care counseling and parenting classes, a temporary safe harbor for women and children escaping abuse, and ongoing support and events for all women. The center will also provide basic need items for women and children who are victims of domestic violence and maternity wear and baby supplies for new mothers who cannot afford them. The center will also seek to counsel men who have suffered from the loss of an unborn child, as well as women who made the wrong decision and need healing from abortions.

WOFFCM Headquarters ideally would be a building in which each division of the ministry would have its own separate floor/ quarters with the church representing the foundation for all the other branches of services. However, the WOFFCM Headquarters will ultimately develop where God wills and provides. On the first floor there would be a church, which will reach out to the entire community and would partner with other biblically-based, fundamentally sound churches of all denominations in reaching the lost. The second floor would house Ignite the Flame Youth Ministries and also provide a place on the weekends called “The Furnace” where teens and young adults could come and be relieved of the pressures of the week and from the world. WOFFCM would host different speakers on Friday and Saturday nights along with Christian contemporary bands and/or musicians for praise and worship, and have a strong Christian youth staff.

WOFFCM would also have a small coffee shop area within The Furnace where teens or young adults could go to relax, drink a soda, eat a snack, and read the Bible or other Christian material. Also, on the second floor we would have omces for the “Ignite the Flame” crusades. The hotline office would be housed on this floor as well. All the youth oriented programs would be on this floor.

The third floor would house Wheels On Fire For Martial Arts. There would be offices and a training area for disabled individuals, youth, and women. The classes would be taught by credible Christian martial arts instructors and would be taught on Christian principles. This floor would also coordinate martial arts demonstrations and seminars.

The fourth floor would be home to the WOFFADA—Wheels On Fire For Americans with Disabilities Act. This floor would house offices advocating for individuals with disabilities and their rights through qualified Christian individuals.

WOFFCM would have information and act on problems such as abuse, neglect, accessibility, disability awareness education, disability rights, advocacy and other disability related resources.

The fifth floor would house the cafeteria where WOFFCM would feed free of charge people with low incomes, no jobs, homeless, and disabled individuals who do not receive proper nutrition they need. This floor would also house the food ministry and the food bank where we would receive goods and other materials for daily life and redistribute them to those in need.

The sixth floor would house the free medical clinic where volunteer Christian doctors, nurses, and therapists would be on hand to meet the needs of people who cannot afford proper quality medical care. This floor would house free donated medical equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, walkers, canes, dialysis equipment and any other equipment that is necessary. This equipment would be refurbished and would be in good working order before distribution. Also, the overseas medical department of WOFFCM would be located on this floor.

The seventh floor would house the street ministry. This floor would be where the street team would learn how to approach people and share the gospel to all in an evangelical form and to conduct themselves in a Christian manner when a problem on the street arises while they are ministering and how to resolve it.

The women’s crisis center would be housed in a nearby facility to WOFFCM Headquarters, with a residential area (house) for the families that are in need and are seeking safe harbor. This residential area would be fully accessible and would be available to meet the needs of any individuals served through WOFFCM or one of its divisons.

In conclusion, it is WOFFCM’s hope that with God’s help this vision will be fulfilled according to Christ’s purpose and guidance and that this ministry would be a beacon of light to the entire world for Jesus Christ. Thank you and God bless.
