Scott Broadway
Scott was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and has used a power wheelchair since he was three years of age. He was ordained into the Gospel ministry by the Ministerial Examining Board of the Eastern Conference of the Original Free Will Baptists and by First Free Will Baptist Church of Kinston in February of 2013.
He and his wife, Erin, were married in July 2005 and in February 2008 their oldest daughter, Rachel was born. In June 2015, their middle daughter, Lydia, was born and in May 2018, they were blessed with their youngest daughter, Joanna.
Scott has served on the Statewide Independent Living Council of North Carolina and participated in the National Youth Leadership Network, organizations that advocate for people with disabilities.
Scott has a second degree black belt in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Kubudo. He has studied at Carolina Bible Institute, Moody Bible Institute, and Lenoir Community College.
He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa and the National Leadership Society and Success.
Erin Bailey Broadway
Erin is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and minor in Psychology. She is a North Carolina Teaching Fellow Almunus and is a former certified teacher with over four years of experience. Erin has taught Spanish, Social Studies, and Science and tutored in a number of other areas. She left the classroom when her oldest daughter was born to spend more time with her family and now homeschools their three children. She has written numerous articles for the Free Will Baptist Press and is a published author. In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, she is very passionate about the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
